ECO CLUB in MONTFORT is a great platform for every MONTFORTIAN create awareness and sensibility towards MOTHER EARTH and awakens his/her green thoughts towards a BETTER ENVIRONMENT.
It empowers them to explore Environmental Concepts and Actions beyond the confines of Curriculum…inculcates love and responsibility towards NATURE… promotes sound Environmental Behaviour…stimulating the philanthropic side of mankind.
The ECO-KIDS are from Grade III to X. They involve and take up meaningful and productive Environmental Activities like HERBAL GARDENING, SAPLING PLANTATION, PAMPHLET DESIGNING & DISTRIBUTION, HERBARIUM PREPARATION, BEST OUT OF WASTE….They love to celebrate WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY, WORLD WATER DAY and also show active participation in various Competitions like SLOGAN WRITING, ELOCUTION, ESSAY WRITING, POSTER MAKING, MIME SHOW, DRAMATISATION, etc…
Their ONE WITH NATURE, drives them to visit the BOTANICAL SURVEY OF INDIA (BSI) & HORTICULTURAL RESEARCH STATION (HRS) in Yercaud….Our Montfortians also voice out their ‘CLEAN and GREEN THOUGHTS’ to the localities to make them aware on the Environmental Issues by organising CLEANLINESS DRIVES, STREET PLAYS, RALLIES & CAMPAIGNS.
