HOSTEL FACILITIES...
The School Campus has three sections of Hostel Facilities—
The MAIN SCHOOL for BOYS of GRADE VIII to XII; the JUNIOR SECTION (MAYFIELD) for the BOYS of GRADE III to VII and MLT HOME for GIRLS.
The Boarders are provided with comfortable and spacious DORMITORIES, Hygienic Sanitation and Clean Drinking Water. Yercaud being a Hill Station, Solar and Electric Water Heaters are installed to provide hot water for Bathing and Washing.
The DORMITORIES are spacious and comfortable with individual Cot and Mattress, Locker, Intercom and Telephone facility. They are provided with separate Linen Room and attached Toilets, Urinals, Wash Basins and Bathing Rooms. The Hair Dressing Saloon makes it convenient for students to be well groomed with a short smart haircut. BROTHERS are incharge of each Dormitory and are helped by Assistant Wardens and Matrons.
DINING HALLS…
Commodious and well ventilated DINING HALLS with vegetarian and non-vegetarian Catering Sections are provided in this school. Dish Washers installed render sterilized utensils. WATER PURIFIERS with UV Light System provide clean and germ free Drinking Water. A well equipped BAKERY and modern kitchen takes care of all other pastries and food requirements.
MEDICAL FACILITIES…
A well stocked Dispensary and attached INFIRMARY with 20 beds, along with round the clock service of a resident doctor, nurse and trained nursing attendants are available. Whenever the children are sick they are taken care at the school infirmary. In addition to this, the local government doctor also visits the infirmary daily between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm. Children who need further attention are regularly taken down to SALEM for a CHECK-UP and subsequent treatment.
SWIMMING POOLS...
Two SWIMMING POOLS, one in the MAIN SCHOOL for BOYS, and another in MLT for GIRLS with diving facility affords every student the opportunity to learn SWIMMING. SPECIAL COACHING is available for those who would like to further prune their skills in Swimming and Pool Events.
GYMNASIUM…
A well equipped GYM with its modern, up-to-date equipment help the students to be healthy in Mind and Body.
THE SCHOOL LIBRARY…
“Reading maketh a man complete”.
Convinced of this fact, MONTFORT encourages every child to read additional Books and Periodicals to supplement what is learnt in the Classroom. Students are also provided with NEWSPAPERS regularly to update their knowledge in CURRENT AFFAIRS..It is compulsory for every student to read and to synthesize a specified number of Books in various Subjects during the Academic Year. The School has a well equipped Library with more than a lakh of Books in almost all Academic and other Co-curricular Disciplines.
LABORATORIES …
Laboratories for PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY and COMPUTER SCIENCE provide an atmosphere for Students to ‘Learn by Doing’. To strengthen this Scientific Approach , PRACTICAL SESSIONS are organized regularly. INTRA and INTER SCHOOL EXHIBITIONS are organized periodically.
SECURITY…
The Main and the Side Gates have Guard Houses and a 24 hour Security check by the Guards-on-duty. In addition to this, moving Guards are on Patrol duty throughout day and night.
VIDEO SURVEILLANCE…
A CCTV network has been installed with nearly 150 cameras to ensure safety and security of its inmates particularly the students movement.
THE PARENTS’ LOUNGE…
PARENTS’ LOUNGE facilitates the Parents and Visitors to be accommodated comfortably while in-waiting.
