MONTFRUVEX’22

It’s only health that is needed not gold and silver.
On 15th of July 2022, the Science Department conducted MONTFRUVEX’22, Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition in the T. T. Hall. We began our Expo at 9:15am. Rev. Bro. M. P. John, graced the occasion and inaugurated the expo. The chief guest was accompanied by Rev. Bro. Domnic Savio, the Principal, Correspondent and Director, Rev. Bro. David, the Treasurer, Rev. Bro. Robert and Rev. Bro. Sunil. The community of Brothers lit the inaugural lamp and gave a divine start to the show. More than 100 montfortians participated and exhibited their displays. It included a wide range of exhibits of more than 60 fruits and vegetables with their binomial names, nutritional value and benefits. Our tiny tots, grade three students dressed like the fruits and vegetables, magnetised the crowd. Fourth graders enthusiastically played their role well in autobiography. The dayscholars delighted the visitors with their yummy delicacies of fireless cooking. We also had an artistic touch of fruit and vegetable by our little carvers. It not only decorated, but had different themes on it – Think outside the sink, Global Warming, Your vehicle at 2050, Think before you munch, Save water, etc…dragged the spectators attention to their stall. Few dishes from the global cuisine too highlighted the show with it’s creative presentation.
We had over 400 children from different schools in Yercaud – Nazerath Convent, TELC School and Charls Convent, and shared their joy with us. They were extremely happy to visit us after the pandemic break. The informative and the colourful expo came to a closure at 3 pm.
